University of Waterloo (Canada) dispenser displays facial recognition message despite no prior indication it was monitoring students
"Invenda, the company that produces the machines, advertises its use of “demographic detection software”, which it says can determine gender and age of customers. It claims the technology is compliant with GDPR, the European Union’s privacy standards, but it is unclear whether it meets Canadian equivalents." (TheGuardian.com, lest 25.2.24)

Times har tittelen "What did Julian Assange do?" bak betalingsmur, og da blir jeg jo litt skeptisk til sannhetsinnholdet... (Beklager Times...) Men Japan Times har interessant informasjon jeg ikke har funnet andre steder:
Assange absent at final hearing against extradition to U.S.
"LONDON –
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was absent from a London court due to illness Tuesday, as his lawyers launched a likely last bid to appeal against his extradition to the United States to face espionage charges."

Ingen av dem liker visst fred i Palestina, slik de bomber et av verdens aller fattigste land som prøver en fredelig metode for å stanse Israels herjinger...
"The US and UK carried out strikes against 18 Houthi targets including underground weapons and missile storage facilities in Yemen on Saturday in the latest round of military action against the Iran-linked group that continues to attack shipping in the region." (Theguardian.com 25.2.24)
